About Vegaholic
Vegaholic exists for one reason: finding good plant-based food in an unfamiliar place shouldn’t be hard. Most directories are stale, ad-crammed, or global to the point of uselessness. We wanted a focused, honest, fast guide to vegan eating in the United States — so we built one.
Our listings are built on a hybrid pipeline. The backbone comes from OpenStreetMap, the community-built map of the world, where thousands of mappers have tagged restaurants with their vegan offerings. On top of that sits a hand-curated layer of flagship restaurants in America’s best vegan cities, reviewed by our editors. And every visitor can suggest a spot we’re missing.
Honesty is the product. Every listing is labeled exactly what it is — 100% vegan, vegan options, or vegetarian — so you can filter to what works for your diet instead of reading five paragraphs to find out the “vegan restaurant” serves fish.
Vegaholic is independent and bootstrapped. If you’d like to help: suggest restaurants, correct what’s wrong, and tell your friends.
